Adam is a native of West Texas and a third-generation attorney. Adam is the grandson of H.J. “Doc” Blanchard, who served as a State Representative and Senator for the Lubbock Area from 1956 to 1974, and is the son of John Ben Blanchard, a native of Lubbock, Texas, and a licensed attorney since 1982. Adam attended Oklahoma State University where he majored in economics and legal studies. In 2008, Adam graduated magna cum laude from Oklahoma State with a Bachelor of Business Administration. During college, Adam served as President of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity and was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi, Mortar Board, and Phi Eta Sigma honor societies. Adam also interned for Texas State Senator Kel Seliger during the 80th Legislative Session focusing in the areas of natural resources and business and commerce, and gaining an invaluable insight into the legislative process in the State of Texas.
Adam graduated from the Texas Tech University School of Law with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2011. While in law school, Adam participated on three national mock trial teams, served as Chairman for the Board of Barristers, and was inducted into the Phi Delta Phi Honors Society and The Order of Barristers. Adam also participated in the Civil Practice Clinic having the opportunity to handle two multi-action consumer law cases and argued before the Seventh District Court of Appeals in Amarillo.
Adam began his career in Amarillo, Texas, at a large regional firm practicing primarily in areas of civil litigation – defending Fortune 500 companies, large regional employers, and insurance companies. Two years later, he decided to change directions and represent people, rather than large companies. Adam joined the Seymore Law Firm in April 2013, bringing a dynamic new approach to the Firm and greatly expanding its civil practice.
Adam is licensed in Texas and Oklahoma, representing individuals throughout the State of Texas who have suffered from workplace injuries, automobile and trucking accidents, and the death of a loved one. Adam also represents individuals and small businesses who have been the victims of dishonesty by others, as well as handling partnership disputes, breach of contract cases, and other general litigation matters.
